White Rock Homes for Sale

About White Rock

White Rock is a city in the province of British Columbia on the southwest coast of Canada known for its stunning ocean views and lovely beaches. The Metro Vancouver Regional District’s member municipality neighbours Semiahmoo Bay to the south, and Surrey surrounds it on three sides. Locals love White Rock for many reasons, including its year-round moderate temperatures.

White Rock derives its name from a 486-ton granite boulder on its beach. Shellfish-eating seabirds kept this rock white with their guano. Today, the city park department keeps the boulder white by applying white paint monthly.

White Rock is home to about 19,339 people, 24% of which are immigrants. English is the city’s largest cultural community at 33%. Scottish and Canadian account for 21% and 20%, respectively. About 68% of the population are homeowners, while the rest are renters—the price of homes in the city range from $329,000 to $14,888,000.
