Growth Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to join our growing team at Properly. This person will be responsible for optimizing existing channels and leading new channel experimentation, the success of which is critical to deliver against our ambitious growth goals. The role will involve identifying new channel opportunities (online or offline) that drive new client leads at an efficient cost, developing the roadmap for experimentation including sizing each opportunity, pitching ideas to the business, project managing the initiatives, and reporting on results with a focus on leveraging learnings to improve future tests. A successful candidate will bring technical expertise across channel management and measurement, and identify as analytical, data-oriented and results-driven. You’ll need to be open-minded, curious, proficient at managing multiple projects at the same time, and bring a growth-hacking mentality to every opportunity. In this role you will report to the Head of Growth.

What you will do: 

  • Determine the prioritization model (effort vs. impact) and innovation roadmap for channel experimentation 
  • Develop the business case for increased investment across new or existing channels with consideration for full funnel performance 
  • Manage the implementation and execution of all experiments, be that set up and optimization within an online ad manager or if required, collaborating with agencies and vendors to source and negotiate details and pricing 
  • Work with the Design team to make sure all performance marketing creative assets are built effectively as well as gather learnings to improve them
  • Create and own goals and performance metrics; monitoring regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, and making recommendations for continuous improvement that increase conversion, improve lead quality and reduce cost
  • Track and report on costs weekly 
  • Partner with Product and Design on opportunities to improve conversion rate across website and landing page experiences 
  • Make impact quickly and build a plan to achieve customer lead targets at the 3-month and 6-month mark, including involvement in quarterly targeting setting 

What we are looking for:

  • 3-5 years hands-on experience in growth marketing with detailed experience in paid channels, automation, and a track record of learning new channels quickly (bonus: experience at a VC-backed tech company in a consumer vertical, e.g. fintech, e-commerce, mobile, real estate, travel) 
  • Experience building, executing and scaling direct response marketing activities across digital (with a focus on Facebook/Instagram, Google Adwords) and offline (with a focus on direct mail, radio) performance channels
  • A honed approach to campaign development that is highly analytical, experiment-driven, and rigorously measured, focused on identifying insights and making improvements in conversion throughout the funnel
  • Confidence leveraging data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements; proficiency in Excel, Amplitude, SQL 
  • Experience working with HubSpot or other CRMs very helpful 
  • An appetite for experimentation and an openness to failing fast and iterating. An entrepreneurial mindset will be critica, combining the passion of pitching new ideas with the hustle and grit required to bring them to life  
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, and impeccable attention to detail 
  • Excellent quantitative skills with a desire to analyze all channels 
  • Experience working with external agency and vendor partnerships, including cost and plan negotiation, a plus
